Upgrade StorageAdvanced search of indexed items

Not sure if anyone can help: I am running Zotero 4.0.1.2 extension in Firefox 29. When I run an advanced search to search within the pdfs of a collection ("Collection" is x)+ ("Attachment content" contains y) I get NO RESULTS despite the fact that I know the phrase I am looking for is present in multiple files. A simple search for the same phrase using the "Everything" specifier will turn up results in the collection of interest but includes other results from the entire library so I have to sort through a whole lot of unwanted material to find the relevant documents.
I have approximately 3000 pdfs in my library which includes multiple (local) collections (i.e. no group collections, which I understand cannot be included in advanced search). Indexing is enabled and indexing plug-ins are up to date. Almost the entire library is indexed. To make sure it was not an indexing issue I rebuilt the index (several hours) but advanced search still not working!
Any advice?

I'm not sure if that's how it's intended to work, but combining the attachment content search option with other search condition usually requires that box to be checked.
