Remove title in Chicago Manual of Style

When I use a reference for the second time it's like this: "Author, Title, Page". I don't need the title included since it's just a few different references. I would like it to be just "Author, Page". How to implement it? I tried to remove the string "<text macro="title-short"/>", but it didn't work.

removing <text macro="title-short"/> works. You may have to switch to a different style and back for changes to a citation style to take effect.
  • Thanks a lot, Adam. It did work!
  • note that - if you didn't change the style id - your custom style will likely get overwritten frequently on auto-updates.
  • Thanks again. You saved me for some trouble there :-) I just woke up, and it was all gone.
