I can't find the variables that convey these values in the CSL specs. Pages/sections etc. are transmitted through "locator". what about the prefix and suffix?

adamsmithno. Prefix and suffix are just added before and after the citation generated with CSL. While I think conceptually they make a lot of sense, they're not required (or even mentioned) in the CSL specs - whether there even are affixes depends on each implementation.
