Tells me: "The note 'Extracted Annotations (Sat Apr 5......." is too long to sync to zotero.org. I have only used 52% of 2 gb of my Zotero server space. How can the annotations be too long?

Search for the note in the error message and shorten it. This isn't related to storage space.
Assuming this is from ZotFile, you should also report this in the
ZotFile thread
. ZotFile shouldn't save notes that are too long to sync.
