create Zotero items from a list of APA-style references

I am not sure if this has been discussed before. I have recently received a list of references in APA style from my supervisor. I would like to load the list to my Zotero library for future use. I wonder if there is a quick way to do it other than searching each item in Google Scholar and then save it in Zotero.
Many thanks
  • Nope, that's what you'll have to do. You might check the metadata quality returned from the various services you have access to, before digging into the work in earnest.
  • well, if it's a proper APA bibliography, most items should have DOIs, which you could just copy into a list and then import into Zotero using the "Add by Identifier" (magic wand) function.

Without DOIs there are some 3rd party options:
    https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_formatted_bibliographies
but generally I'd recommend doing this with google scholar - in the end you'll safe time.
