Misssing link from Zotero to LyX

I recently upgraded Firefox (only took me a couple of hours to repair most of the damages). In doing so l managed to lose my connection from Zotero to LyZ. Firefox seems to automatically use the Windows path even in a Linux installation. When trying to send a reference to LyX I just got an error message.

I have reset the path to /home/john/.lyx/lyxpipe which is what it was in LyX and I am assuming that it is the same in the Zotero settings. Does this sound correct? In any case I no longer get an error message but I also don't get any citation in LyX.

JabRef with the same path (/home/john/.lyx/lyxpipe) sends a citation. Also, strangely enough, when I accidently loaded LyX 2.1 (dev) when I had Lyx 2.0.7 loaded, I recieved a warning message telling me that the path existed, presumable to 2.0.7.

Any suggestions?
  • have you contacted the LyZ developer? It's run independent of Zotero and has separate support channels.

No, I somehow lost the link to his site. and I don't seem to be able to find it again with Google. I can find the developer's blog about, I think, sailing (I don't read the language he's posting in) but I cannot find the blog where Lyz is discussed.

I was just hoping another LyX-Zotero user here could suggest something. Thanks for the reply

    from: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/lyz/ :

Peruse the Issues opened by other users at https://github.com/willsALMANJ/lyz . Be sure to check the closed issues as well to see if a solution has already been found for your problem. If not, open a new issue.

    edit: fixed link
  • Excellent. For some reason that link is giving me a 404 error but when pasted into Google I go directly to it.

    Now to do some reading.

    Thanks a lot.
  • (it had a stray period at the end, sorry about that).
