Citation and Bibliography in Zotero

Hi guys,

Im using OSCOLA citation and having a problem with my bibliography. It is not in alphabatetical order. any suggestion or i need to edit it manually? Thank you
  • OSCOLA sorts by item type first, in line with the requirements of the manual:
it first lists all secondary items, then cases, then bills and statutes, finally manuscripts (as a workaround for treaties). I assume that's what you're seeing. If that doesn't explain it, please provide an example.
  • Dear Adam,

    Thank you for your reply.

The materials are in secondary items i.e journal and conference paper. But it is not listed according to alphabetical order. Below are the example:

Between item G and H, There is item A. How to fix it? Hope to get advise how to fix it. Thank you.
  • The style is now fixed. The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by clicking "Update Now" in the General tab of the Zotero preferences.

Styles also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
  • (the reason this happened was the particle in front of the Arab name. How to handle these so called "non-dropping" particles in alphabetization isn't actually uniform. I'm going to assume OSCOLA wants this sorted under A, but there are certainly syles that require last names like de Maiziere, von Beethoven, or ab Halim to be sorted under the main last name (i.e. M, B, and H respectively).
  • Dear Adam,

    Thank you for your reply.
I did as instructed but nothing happen. It remain as it is.
I just edit it manually, cut and paste it into A alphabetical order. Will be there any effect later?

I also have a problem to save the web sources into Zotero library. save icon is not appear. How to enable the save icon?

    Thank you.
  • For the sorting issue, this definitely works. Try re-installing the style from https://zotero.org/styles and check in a fresh document
(you only need to citations to check - e.g. Fisher and Ab Halim)

For the address bar icon, see here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_address_bar_icon
then start a new thread, please, let's keep separate issues in separate threads.
