Synching problem in new release

I have been using sugarsync to keep my library across three machines. The new release makes this practically impossible by not allowing you to change the the file names manually. If this is part of getting ready for 1.5 it is darned inconvenient in the meantime.
  • Moving this to the Sync Preview forum. Please post feedback on the Sync Preview there.

What do you mean by "not allowing you to change the file names manually"?

Also, as I explained to you in another thread, the 1.5 Sync Preview is meant for testing only, which is why it has a data loss warning in bold and red at the top of the page. It sounds like you're trying to use it with your production database, which is strongly discouraged.
  • Dan,

As I said, no data is lost. The storage files are fine, the sqlite file is there as well, but the name has been changed and when I try to manually change the name back (after switching to another library in preferences) the change is overwritten. This occurred with 1.0.7. I did this all the time with 1.0.6 as I was playing around with various things.

It may be that something in the new version has upset my particular use of zotero with sugarsync. I haven't lost any data but it is cumbersome. I will create a new directory before upgrading the other machines I sync to and see if I can replicate my problem without creating a burden for myself.

I tried 1.5 for a second but as it didn't solve my problem I removed it. Looking forward to the sync being less complicated.

Sorry, I still don't understand. What name has been changed? From what to what?
