security error: domain name mismatch
I am trying to import libraries that were created at another institution and I am getting the following error message: "security error: domain name mismatch: you have attempted establish a connection with "ii1.sonoma.edu". However, the security certificate presented belongs to "iii.sonoma.edu". It is possible, though unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept your communication with this web site..." My students had created the libraries, I successfully imported them into my collection at Sonoma and then exported them into *.rdf format for importing at Humboldt (current institution). I know that students were accessing files using Sonoma's library (I no longer have borrowing privileges)...but the files were dowloaded to their desktops so should this really matter? Please advise as I stand to lose a large collection representing many hours of student work.
Thanks,
Josh

dstillmanedited July 16, 2008When you import a file containing URL links into Zotero, Zotero currently makes a HEAD request to the server for the content type (HTML, PDF, JPEG, etc.). Getting the content type of links probably isn't necessary and we might disable that, but for the time being you should be able to avoid any error messages by switching Zotero to offline mode under the File menu before attempting the import.
