Vancouver style

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I am supposed to use a modified Vancouver style for my reference section. You can pick Vancouver in Zotero Set Doc Prefs; however, my citations need to be superscript and they are not coming out that way in my document. Also, for the particular journal to which I am submitting requires that the first 3 authors be listed followed by et al., can I change this in settings?
I also noticed that on zotero.org/styles I can add various Vancouver styles, as well as others (and from discussion posts, it seems that Lancet style may be what I need to solve the problems listed above), but how do I add them to my Microsoft Word plug in?

Thank you!
  • once you've added a style to Zotero it will show up in the Word plugin

  • Thank you. I did that. Overall, The Lancet looks right but still does not conform with the 3 authors followed et al. step. Any suggestions?

Try any of these - they all use superscript and use et al for 4 and more authors, displaying the first three followed by et-al (The Lancet does display et al after three authors, but only for 7 and more authors)
