Saved search with ``field "is not" empty'' does not work (all entries are listed)

When trying to find entries that lack a value for a specific field, all entries are displayed. For example ``field "is not" empty'' does not work: All entries are listed. It seems I have to enter some value in the right field. Leaving it empty for "no value" does not seem to work.

'field' 'contains' % will search for any item with a value in 'field'
