Sitation before the sentences

For all forum member
Can i set the citation before the sentence with Zotero?
for example: "Edison (2012) said ......."
  • Type the author in your word processor and use the "suppress author" button in the plugin:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#quick_format_citation_dialog
  • I do it with editing the sitation in "source editor".
For example (Edison, 2012), i do edit to Edison (2012). its ok?
  • No, that's a bad idea. It will prevent the citation from updating in the future, e.g. if you change the citation style or if you update the citation's data in Zotero.

    Ups,
So what is the function of "show editor" in Zotero?
Sometime i do editing the citation here.

Note: this is the 1st time i know the function and term of suppress-author. Thanks
  • well, if editing a citation really can't be avoided, that's what you want to use. But in most cases you can use prefix/suffix and suppress author to get what you want/need.
