[solved]Duplicated bibliography

I have a long LibreOffice document I'm working on for months (it's an habilitation).
I want to update the bibliography because I'm not happy with some http addresses added when the number of pages is missing, ok this is a different issue.
My current problem is the following:
-I select the present bibliography
-I delete it
-I insert a bibliography bi clicking on the button on the toolbar

The problem is that the bibliography appears twice: from A to Z and again from A to Z in a single block

well, while I was typing my problem in the forum, I was also fixing in the background an issue I had, the very long time taken by citations to be inserted in my document. Minutes waiting that the small Firefox window finishes working.
And I found the solution here in the forum : https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/25173/inserting-citation-with-libreoffice-plugin-takes-2030-minutes/
And that solved also my problem of duplicated bibliography!
    Problem solved.
  • For one, this is of course a very quick fix in the final version of the document (save as a copy, remove field codes, delete the second bibliography), so this shouldn't cause you too much of a nightmare in any case.
Obviously it still shouldn't happen, though. Most likely cause is that there still is an (invisible) bibliography marker left when you're deleting the bibliography. I'd try to make sure to delete a couple of lines before (and if applicable after) the bibliography when deleting it.

    Hello M Smith
I was very cautious to remove several lines after the bibliography because I had this hypothesis in mind, but it never worked.
what do you mean by "remove fields codes"?
  • see here: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#plugin_toolbar
as I say, this is meant to prepare a copy of the final version of the document to be sent to the publisher/printer. It won't fix the underlying issue.
  • ah ok, got it
    thanks
