Cannot save pubmed entry to Zotero standalone

It was good this morning but with no reason or some unknown reason, it suddenly stopped work this afternoon. The Chrome Zotero Connector reports the following information:

eutils - pubmed's API - has been a bit spotty lately. Just try again, should work now.

It worked by trying again and again... very unstable

usually they get this back to normal within a week or less. But in any case nothing we can do about it from the Zotero side.
