Dragging PDF from email (Outlook) attachment

I know that I can drag a PDF file from a Windows folder, as viewed in Windows Explorer, into Z. But I can't drag a PDF attachment directly from an open email in Outlook into Z. Am I missing something, or must I indeed save the PDF file in a folder before dragging it in? Thanks--

    no, unfortunately that's not possible, you need to take the intermediate step via the file system.
