Tags cause URL error and tab failure

Whenever I select specific "tags" I've created for multiple documents, the URL begins to reach an indefinite loop. It continues recalculating the URL as in: an infinite number begins repeating at the end of the URL and my browser freezes. I don't understand why this is the case. I do use Internet Explorer (cringe). Can you fix this problem?
