Symbol form not rendering from Firefox

I have a custom style that uses the symbol form of several terms (editor, presented-at) under some conditions. This works great using Standalone (either the Word plugin and from generated bibliographies/quick citations). However, the short form specification does not work when making quick citations from Firefox Zotero. Other aspects of the style render correctly; the only flaw is that the short form, not the symbol form of these terms is used. Firefox is set up to use the Standalone data directory.

Any clue what might be causing this weird behavior?

    first step would be to look at the custom style. Post to gist.github.com as a public gist and provide a link, please.

    Works for me. I could see things getting messed up when you define symbol forms where they don't exist in the locale, though.
    Could also be a locale issue maybe? E.g. your Firefox may have a different locale than standalone. Maybe try setting a default locale for the style?
