Cite of an article of a law

Hi there

Adding the law was easy. When I try to cite it in the text (Zotero Standalone) I open in word the cite window and enter the source (the law/statute). Then I would like to add the number of the article. I try to change the option from page to article. Article is not found...please can someone help me?
  • I'd use section - we have discussed article for laws before and it might happen, but in the US context (and I believe most other countries) my understanding is that only the constitution has articles, all other laws have sections.

    Hey adamsmith

Thanks for your reply. Actually it is for the Chinese Company Law as well as the Securities Law, which has articles (it is also named directly in the law as articles). Nevertheless, there should be the possibility to add articles instead of sections, isnt't it?
  • you can use the suffix field (and type "art. xyz") if need be if that's more helpful.
  • actuallty that is the perfect sollution. I was not aware what preffix and suffix means. Thank you for your help. Great!
