Style for Information Sciences in alphabetical order

Hi,

I was wondering if you could change the citation style " Information Sciences" to sort the bibliography alphabetically. The journal guidelines state that the references should be in alphabetical order and the guidelines can be found in

http://www.elsevier.com/journals/information-sciences/0020-0255/guide-for-authors#73001

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and thanks!!
  • the style is currently auto-generated based on a list supplied by Elsevier, so this isn't going to happen fast, but I'll check.
  • Thank you!

Do you know other similar style with alphabetical order?
  • actually
Elsevier (numeric, with titles, sorted alphabetically)
should give you exactly what you want, we might be able to switch Information Sciences over to that, but for your purposes that doesn't matter, it'd be the same style.
  • Perfect! Thank you!
  • style is now up correctly (though as I said, no need to change anything on your part).
  • Hi,
does anybody know a style that does everything like the aforementioned Elsevier (numeric, with titles, sorted alphabetically), except the numbers not being put into square brackets but being superscripted? Would be great :).

  • I don't think so. What for? And how exactly do you need that?
  • It's for my dissertation. I've already been looking around the forum but couldn't find a solution, so I wondered if somebody in here could help me out. It's not that important, though, cause the faculty already told me they would accept it either way. I just wanted to give it a try... Thanks a lot anyways!
  • That's why I'm asking how precisely this needs to mirror the style otherwise. There is, of course, a pretty large number of styles with superscripted citations, starting with Vancouver (superscript).
  • The only requirement it really needs to fulfill is the alphabetically sorted bibliography in combination with numbered citations in the text. But I'll try Vancouver and then we'll see. Thank you again :).
  • vancouver isn't alphabetical. Let me have a quick look, there should be something
  • These are plausible candidates. See what you like, but it sounds like AMA alphabetical would be a good choice.
