Book Section Not Correctly Cited

When I cite a book section the first time, Zotero formats the footnote properly, with author's name, article or chapter name in quotes, then the title of the book in italics, etc. However, when I cite the same book section again, Zotero enters the author's name followed by the book title in quotations. No mention of the article. I am using Office 365, which I recently installed. Any clues as to how I can fix this?
  • Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition (full note)
  • can you replicate that in a new document? Could you copy the first and subsequent citation of that same item?
  • Yes, I replicated the problem in a new document and copied the results below. Footnote 1 is the first citation of the article "Christianity: Historical Setting" from the book The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Religion and Social Justice. Footnote 2 is a citation to a different chapter from the same book. Both of these are fine. But note the content of footnote 3. It is the second citation to the first article. No mention of the article, and the book title is in quotes instead of italics.

1Stanley M. Burgess, “Christianity: Historical Setting,” in The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Religion and Social Justice, ed. Michael D. Palmer and Stanley M. Burgess (Malden, MA: Wiley-Blackwell, 2012), Kindle e–book, 65.

2Moshe Hellinger, “Judaism: Historical Setting,” in The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Religion and Social Justice, ed. Michael D. Palmer and Stanley M. Burgess (Malden, MA: Wiley-Blackwell, 2012), Kindle e–book, 99.

3Burgess, “The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Religion and Social Justice,” Kindle e–book, 66.
  • In which Zotero field is the "Kindle e-book" part?
  • In the page field
  • OK, I'll take a closer look. I can't currently replicate this, but I'll dig some. Is this a general issue for you, or just with this specific item?
  • It appears to be a general issue. I looked for other citations from book sections for a different book, and they demonstrate the same problem.
As I mentioned earlier, I am using Office 365, Word 2013. I didn't notice this problem before installing that software, but I'm not sure that is the cause.
  • Still no luck replicating (though I don't have Word 2013). Could you press alt+F9, which will show the field codes of citations, and copy the entire field code of citations one and three here?
  • I attempted to do that. I entered alt-F9 and the codes appeared. I highlighted and copied them to clipboard. However, when I attempt to paste the material into this pane, the field codes don't show - only the text of the footnote.
