format for dates in "date added" search?

I'm sure this is in the documentation somewhere, but I couldn't seem to find it. I want to construct some searches to look for things added after my last report was generated. I see the "date added" search item, but haven't hit upon the format it wants. What is the proper format for dates?

And an auxiliary request: is there a more standard-format user guide coming? I don't really want to watch the tutorial videos to find out this kind of information, and I haven't had a lot of luck in locating things. It could just be my search-box wrangling skills, but I think if I'm having trouble, other folks likely are, too.

    Answered my own question - looks like it needs to be YYYY-MM-DD.

    Actually you can enter a date in most any format you want: "July 8, 2008", "July 2008", "7/8/2008". Zotero will parse it the same way it parses dates in the date fields in the metadata pane (and you can hover over the saved fields to see the parsed value in YYYY-MM-DD format).
