applying a new style to an existing document

can't seem to find how you do this. I have a document written with style X and want now to apply style Y. I choose they style under "set doc prefs" in my MS Word add-on, but nothing happens.

    Should just work the way you're doing it. Try in a fresh document to make sure this is working in general and try with a different style in the document you're working on.
