DOIs on Cambridge journals
I'm finding that the date for articles like:
http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S0068246200004529
shows up as the on-line publication date and not that of the original article. CJO provides the citation, which looks like this:
author = {Fulford,Michael and Wallace-Hadrill,Andrew},
title = {Towards a history of pre-Roman Pompeii: excavations beneath the House of Amarantus (I.9.11–12), 1995–8},
journal = {Papers of the British School at Rome},
volume = {67},
month = {11},
year = {1999},
issn = {2045-239X},
pages = {37--144},
numpages = {108},
doi = {10.1017/S0068246200004529},
URL = {http://journals.cambridge.org/article_S0068246200004529}
When I follow the DOI, I get:
<year media_type="online">2013</year>
<year media_type="print">1999</year>
I don't know whether this is correct or not, but to my mind, the print date is the "correct" one.
Thanks for any help.
