Look online for citation updates

When adding a citation to Zotero, often the metadata is retrieved from pre-print information (e.g. epub ahead of print, accepted buts not edited articles, etc). However, this will change over time when for example an article is associated/archived in a certain volume/issue or the final version is published.

Eventually, many of your citations will be outdated at some point.

It would be really helpfull to use the DOI or ISBN or PubMed-ID, ArXive ID, etc of a citation to automatically update from an online resource/database.

This feature would be similar to current EndNote functionality, where you can right-click on an entry and select "look online for updates".

Ideally, the feature would let you specify/choose from preselected online resources/databases and could be done in batch (most ideally even optionally unsupervised).

This would be a very strong increase of Zotero usability and a further argument against the use of EndNote.
