√ Jumping back to main (parent) node when switching items

The Info/Notes/Tags/Related tab sticks when the user switches items. So, after reading a note of item A, Zotero still shows the Notes tab of item B when I switch to item B. Almost always my wish is to go to the Info tab of item B. If I wanted to go to the Notes tab of item B, I would have clicked on the relevant "note" sub-node under the parent item, not the parent item itself. This sticky behavior of the Info/Notes/Tags/Related tabs undermines my workflow.

Since Zotero has a good way of estimating the user's intention (i.e., whether the user clicks on the parent node or a note sub-node), I think automatically reverting to the Info tab when the user switches to a different item will make more sense.
  • I think you'd find plenty of people who would disagree with you and want to be able to go through items viewing tags, notes, or related items.
  • people (...) want to be able to go through items viewing tags, notes, or related items.
    most definitely, yes.
