Incorrect Capitalization

When I create a note in Chicago 16, it sometimes changes the capitalization of what I have in my original zotero field.

e.g., zotero field has: Die Sozialreform im alten Israel
Chicago 16 turns it into: Die Sozialreform Im Alten Israel, which is incorrect.

Can I tell zotero to leave my title entries as I input them?
  • Chicago 16 requires title casing for English language titles, so that's what you're seeing.
You can disable this - to tell Zotero that an item isn't in English - enter anything into the "language" field of an item that doesn't start with "en". Right now anything will work - Deutsch, German, deu etc. For future purposes (i.e. not yet implemented features), we encourage you two enter the language as two-letter ISO language and country codes, i.e. de-DE for German German, fr-FR for French French etc.
  • I was having this problem as well and am happy there's a solution, though I'm mainly posting to say as a follow up that there is a list of two-letter ISO codes at http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php.
