Is there anyway to change the way your references get inported into word? For example when I import a reference into word it looks like this(using periods for spaces):

Ellis, David V., and Susan L. White
........2002 Archaeological Survey of Philomath Couplet Norton Creek Crossover, Benton County. Prepared for Oregon Department of Transportation, Salem.

But I want it to look like this with hard returns instead of soft returns(again using periods for spaces):

Ellis, David V., and Susan L. White
..2002 Archaeological Survey of Philomath Couplet Norton Creek
....Crossover, Benton County. Prepared for Oregon Department of
....Transportation, Salem.

while the general answer to your question is yes, the specific format you want (i.e. the exact indenting as used e.g. by AAA) isn't possible with Zotero at this time.

Well then, what about getting hard returns instead of soft. It's incredibly cumbersome to change and reformat everything.

the returns within a citation are soft returns.

I know I meant that I need hard returns.

not really, no - the issue with the AAA format is mostly that it can't be done properly without a hard return - different from every other citation format I know of.

You could insert some unique characters in the places where you need a hard return and then search-replace them as a final editing step.

Yeah, I actually figured out how to replace all soft returns with hard returns within word. It's really easy.
