BibLaTeX export: incorrect author when author has no first name

Hi,

I'm using Zotero standalone. I have a library with two resources: an article (which I added to the library first) and a web page (which I added by dragging and dropping from Chrome). I added an last name (but no first name!) for the author for the web page directly in Zotero.

When I export a bibliography using the BibLaTeX translator, the web page is listed as an @online resource, but the author is not the author that I added. Instead, it is the *last* author listed for the article.

If I add a first name, the author name is exported correctly. I see the same behavior if I change the Item Type to something else, so this looks like a general problem with missing first names.

The following article and webpage will allow you to reproduce the problem:

  • we're aware of this and it'll be fixed eventually, but it's not very high priority, since you shouldn't have authors without first names - to save institutional authors, click on the white rectangle after an author.
FWIW, saving the APS article via URL bar icon, I can't reproduce the problem.
  • A collaboration is exactly what I needed, so thank you for the tip!
  • "shouldn't have authors without first names"

Mononyms are common in Indonesia. There are several well-published authors in the engineering and psychology fields from there who use one name. The same is true for authors from 19th and early 20th century Turkey.

I use the institutional single field setting for these.
