in text citation not working for Journal of Mammalogy

In text citations are supposed to be in chronological order;
(Wiener and Smith 1972; Hansson and Hoffmeyer 1973; Williams and Braun 1983; Woodman et al. 1996)

but it's wanting to do it this way;
(Hansson and Hoffmeyer 1973; Wiener and Smith 1972; Williams and Braun 1983; Woodman et al. 1996)

The odd thing is it's getting some in text citations correct and others completely wrong. Thoughts?

You're right. (for reference) From the author instructions

In-text literature citations in strings should be listed in chronological order by first authors’ names, and multiple dates for the same author(s) are separated by commas (e.g., Leslie 1898; Blake 2002; Heske et al. 2004, 2006).

Also, something else that needs to be fixed:

Note: Please do not format the small caps in the manuscript. That will be done by the typesetter.

It will probably take a couple days to update the style due to the holidays, but you can keep working on the manuscript as is and then update later.

Good catch on the small caps! I had seen that but forgot to mention it. Just let me know when the style is updated. Zotero is awesome!
