Style error: chicago-author-date.csl: localized date

With general.useragent.locale set to fr-FR and using chicago-author-date.csl, localized dates come out wrong:

Alemagna, Lilian. 2013.

By contrast, the output using chicago-fullnote-bibliography.csl is as expected:

Alemagna, Lilian.
  • (dates - as opposed to terms including month names - aren't actually localized for CMoS author-date at all, I can take a look, but won't be quick).
  • Thank you, that'd be much appreciated.
  • sorry, I spoke to soon. We can't localize dates without the year (the only date options for localized dates are year, year-month, and year-month-day), so since the English version needs to be "December 15" I fear we cannot get this right.
  • I see - but don't you think precisely this use case strongly calls for the introduction of one additional value - "month-day" - to the date-parts attribute of localized dates then?
