The import icon does not download the file together with the citation

Hello, I have been using zotero for 3 years now. I made few changes in the downloading directory because I changed laptop several times recently. Now when I click on the import icon, I am not able to import the pdf document, despite I have the right to download it. Thanks a lot for the help.

I have sorted it out. Essentially what I did was the following:
-I had an snapshop attachment of an article. I double clicked on it.
-the attached page appeared and I clicked on the import icon.
This procedure is wrong. The correct procedure is to look for the article on the net using the browser and then click the icon to import it. Therefore the issue is sorted.
