Tagging of groups of items found via specific search

Is there anyway of tagging a group of items all at the same time, for example those that have been found via a specific seach term, or found in some other way (versus having to tag each one manually)?

To assign a tag to multiple items at once, drag a selection of items from the center column onto a tag in the tag selector.
