In-text including year for MLA?

Hi:

I'm giving Zotero a test-drive before recommending it to our 11th graders for their IB extended essays.

We're having two problems:
1) When using the Word add-on for in-text citations, it's adding on the year. We did figure out a work-around for that, but

2) It's not even close on the web citations--it just adds the entire citation.

Is there something we're doing wrong?

Are you sure you're not using another style? In-text cites for the "Modern Language Association 7th edition" style can't print a date, no matter what is in the item data. Just can't happen.

And how exactly are you inserting those citations? And what exactly do you mean by 2)?
