Zotero Chrome connector does not work

I am getting this Javascript error: [JavaScript Error: "Attempting to use a disconnected port object" {file: "messaging" line: 69}].

Steps to reproduce:
I just installed Zotero on my 64-bit Linu machine (Chromium browser) and the download to Zotero icon does not show up (it is never visible).

Nope, don't see it there.

under Tools --> Extensions --> Zotero Options: What does it say under "Zotero Standalone"?

Have you tried with all other Chromium extensions disabled?

Yes, I have tried with all other extensions disabled and it still does not show up.

Right now it says unavailable because I do not have the standalone app open, and when I have it open on my desktop it says available. In both cases the icon does not show up.

It now shows up on the Amazon link from above! Don't know what happened or why, but it works now.
