Cite plugin switches focus (Mac, MLZ)

This is a minor problem, but gets a bit annoying over time. I use the MLZ Firefox plugin. Whenever I add a cite, and regardless of whether I use the "classic" or "new" cite overlay, when I trigger it, it switches focus from Word to Firefox, causing MLZ to fill my entire screen instead of Word. Often it doesn't matter, but I'd much prefer to have the document I was just working on floating behind the dialog. Only way I have been able to stop it is to minimise Firefox to the dock before editing my document, but this is a little annoying since I frequently need to go back and forth to add new sources, etc.

Anyone else had this problem?
  • I have noticed this on students' Mac machines, and I can understand how it could get annoying. For what it's worth, Linux doesn't seem to behave this way. I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm not sure what causes it. The core Zotero plugin support code code (source file integration.js) is identical apart from small differences in the data sent to and from the word processor. The Mac-specific window code in there is exactly the same.

I assume that official Zotero doesn't do this on the Mac, but it would be really helpful to have that confirmed by someone.
