Syncing takes ages
For some time now (at least 30 days, perhaps more) syncing takes ages in Zotero Standalone. I didn't report that hoping a new version would solve the problem, but since nothing changed for better with the 4.0.14 version, I report this.
I have a library with 2000+ items, most of them with attachments uploaded to cloudme via webdav. I sync 3 computers.
What used to be:
when no changes were made to the library, syncing took a few seconds
What is now (when no changes were introduced since last sync, and the previous sync was run from another computer):
1) Sync with Zotero Server - Getting updated data from sync server - takes minutes
2) briefly: a box with 'Processing updated data from sync server'
3) Downloads - the sync process skims through 1000+ items, but does not download anything: Downloads: 0KB remaining (xxx/1351 files), where xxx quickly goes from 1 to 1351
4) Sync with Zotero Server - Getting updated data from sync server (again)
in the 4.0.14 version it gets actually worse, because after running through 1-4, Zotero just looped in 1-2 (it runs fifth cycle as I write this).
I have the full-text option disabled.
hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further information,
Jakub

But even though, the fact that such looping does take place when syncing on two machines points to the possible cause of the problem - it looks like if syncing on one machine (even when no changes are made) reseted a marker or a timestamp, so all other machines became unsynced, and went into a long syncing process.
