Error message this.registry[id].disambig.givens[i] is undefined.
Hi everybody!
I use Firefox 25.0 and Zotero 4.0.13.
Error ID: 1858123404 & 2060111723
After unsuccessfully trying to change something in a style and therefore frequently updating a style and switchung of style, I now get an error message (An error occurred during the update of your document this.registry[id].disambig.givens[i] is undefined.)
I get this message whenever I want to use the Word Plugin (insert a reference, edit a reference, change styles etc).
I tried reinstalling the Word Plugin (deinstalling, closing Firefox, installing Plug in, reopen Firefox) - without success. The same error occurs.
What can I do to use Zotero again?
Thank you very much for your help!

Then, run through these

to figure out the smallest subset of the document where this occurs and fbennett can take a look.
I was able to track down an error in a citation. after changing this, this document was fine. trying the same in another copy of the same file still showed the error message. i was then able to track down another citation error. I deleted the entry in the Zotero database for this book and reentered it. Problem was solved for this file.
When I wanted to send you an excerpt from the bugged file, I noticed that in this file, Zotero told me that none of the citations I clicked on were not in my database anymore. They are still OK in my debugged version. It seems to me tho, that there is always a new error occurring?
If you can provide a copy of the style with one or more references that produce the error, I can take a look. Unless I can reproduce the error locally, I won't be able to help.
I guess you wont be able to reproduce that locally and so for it works. Let's hope it's fixed :) Thank you very much!
(If the data is no longer available, I guess it will wait.)
This is a copy I took just in case my Zotero crashes totally. The error should still be in there as at the time I backed up the files the error still occurred.
I believe the error was caused by the entry Alexander (1979), though initially it seemed to be in Trivers (1972).
How I got that impression:
I noted that after changing the style back to APA 6th ed. two citations in my Word file that were supposed to show only the year, also showed the author. After deleting the Trivers citation (showing both author and year) one of my files were bug free for a moment. Then the error occurred again, this time it seemed to be caused by the Alexander citation (the one also showing both author and year, although not meant to).
After deleting the Alexander file in Firefox, the error seemed to be gone (also in the Trivers citation).
First I thought the change of styles caused that author was shown, but now I noted that other citations kept the editing I did and rightly only showed the year.
This is why I think the entry in Firefox caused the problem.
Is this enough for you to work with? Let me know if I can provide anything else.
