Plug-in for MS Office 2013 - Mac

Is the word processing plug-in compatible with the 2013 version of MS Office for Macs? One of my students is having issues when she tries to download the plug-in. It goes through all of the motions as though it's going to be installed, and then she gets an error message that it's incompatible.

there is no Mac Office 2013, the latest version is 2011

and Zotero is compatible with that as well as MS Office 2013 for Windows.
What's the exact error message she's getting?

Maybe the student was mistaken about the version! I sent her (the student) troubleshooting tips from the Zotero site. She was able to install the Word plug-in after reinstalling Word 2011.
