Deleting material?

Hi

I just wanted to check that deleting a Group Library actually deletes all files(as opposed to material being stored in a different location). Do Zotero's servers back up deleted information?

Do Zotero's servers back up deleted information?

For data, only for a day or two for disaster recovery. After that it's gone from the servers completely.

For files, after the two-day backup window, deleted files are no longer linked in any way to the accounts from which they were removed. Orphaned files are stored until the next time orphaned files are purged, which happens periodically. (They're stored by file hash, so if you tried to upload the same file again before the next purge you wouldn't need to wait for the file to upload.)
