Inline citation like: (ACCADIA et al., 2012) x Accadia et al. (2012)

Could someone help me out here?
I need inline citations to behave like this:

- when directly mentioning the author in the text, I must have just the first character capitalized like this: Accadia et al. (2012)

- when indirectly mentioning the author, I should get this: (ACCADIA et al., 2012), that is, all the family name in uppercase.

I tried to modify some csl code, but I couldn´t find how to do that.

I would appreciate a lot if I could get some help here.
  • For the first type of citation, use the "suppress author" checkbox in the word processor plugin and type the authors manually.

For uppercasing the author name, see http://citationstyles.org/downloads/specification.html#name-part-formatting
  • Thanks a lot for your answer. Shouldn´t be an automatic way to do that? Is this the only way?
  • it's not easy to automate, exactly because of requirements such as these and yes, this is the only way to do it.
  • Ok, thanks again.
  • Hi everyone,

I have read this since I am looking for a similar style which capitalizes the surname but not the words "and" or "et al.," but as I am not a technical person I am not sure what to do with the instructions on the link.

Is there a style out there that

    a) capitalizes surnames in inline ciatations
    b) capitalizes surnames in the references

that I could use as a starting point?

    Thank you, any help appreciated.
