Style Request: First three authors only for American Chemical Society
Campbell, J. L.; Pedersen, O. K. Comparative Political Studies 2007, 40, 307–332.
Mares, I. Varieties of capitalism. The institutional foundations of comparative advantage. New York: Oxford University Press. 2001, 184–213
I'm using the American Chemical Society (from http://www.zotero.org/styles/american-chemical-society) for a paper in the Journal of Laboratory Automation and Screening (ISSN: 2211-0682).
- The ACS style lists every author in each bibliography entry.
According to author instructions
http://www.slas.org/publications/journal/author_instructions.cfm
the journal requests that citations and references comply exactly with ACS guidelines: Only the first three authors should be cited followed by "et al." How do I limit the bibliography to only the first three authors?
For example:
1. Campbell, R.M.; Hallock N.; Ho D.; et al. Instructions for JBS Authors. J. Biomol. Screen. 2012, 17, 150-155.

Thanks for your pointer. Just for posterity, those et al settings should be placed in <bibliography>, not in <citation>.
