[MLZ] How do you add to an abbreviation filter?

How are new abbreviations that you enter in the Classic View treated? Are they automatically added to the relevant .JSON file? If not, how do you add to the .JSON file?

    With the Abbreviation Filter, new abbreviations are stored in the plugin's database. The JSON file itself is not used directly by the plugin, and is not affected by changes to the database: but if the abbreviations for a style are exported to a fresh JSON file, all stored abbreviations will be included, with the exception of "Hereinafter" and "My Nickname" entries.
