Just Deleted a Collection

Hi there,

I just deleted a selection on Zotero Standalone. I tried to rescue it with the sync with the server, but the server had only 3 items in that seleciton folder (rather than ca.70-80).

Is there a way (I have Windows 8 and cannot find a zotero folder at all...) to restore my collection from about 5 hours ago.

I really need those items.

if you delete a collection, the items are typically still in "My Library" in Zotero. Deleting a collection is a bit like deleting a tag in that respect.

Otherwise you can try this:

Well, that's not helping as the items disappeared in the "My Library" in Zotero.

I hope there is a solution to it.

Then first check your Zotero trash at the bottom of the left hand panel.
You'd have to have manually emptied the trash for deleted items to disappear from there.
Also, see the link I posted to revert to the most recent auto-backup.

Yeah, I had checked the trash at the bottom...there are 3 items in there but not the 70-80 I am looking for.

I also followed your link and it did not help. I guess that's just gone.

how did you delete those items initially?
And how did you restore it from the server? A restore from server? That can actually delete items, sure.
