search function

Hello,
A quick question: are PDF's that are attached to an item searchable in Zotero? I wish to include in my search not only meta data or basic fields but the actual content of the pdf. If so, how do I do it?

Also, in this regard: can I upload an entire folder to zotero (=my entire research project) and make all its content searchable via the zotero search function? if not, what is the best way to have all my data searchable?

@shirawil -
1) yes, as long as your PDFs have OCRd text (as most PDFs do today)
2) You can add a large number of files to Zotero at once (either drag&dropping them or using "store copy of file" and select multiple files in the dialog) but not a whole folder. Currently Zotero only indexes/searches pdf, html, and txt, so this won't work for Word or LibreOffice documents
