An error has occured. Please restart Zotero: Report-ID 334689402

Hello,
after having severe problems with Zotero since a while, today I've tried to install the standalone Version for Mac (instead of Browser plugin only). Seems to work but it does not solve the problem: usually after 2 or 3 new entries or opened existing entries, zotero gives up and sends me the error message asking to restart Firefox. This makes its use very hard!
Do you see a possibility to solve it?

  • Your database is corrupted. Try the Database Integrity Check in the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences. If that isn't sufficient, you may need to try the DB Repair Tool.
