Image item type

An image or photograph item type needs to be added.
  • we're currently suggesting artwork to be used for that. Does that not work for you?
  • I am talking about satellite photographs or photographic documentation. That is not artwork.
  • I'm more interested in whether it can be used for the purpose. Don't get hung up on the label.
  • Following are several examples of image citations formatted according to MLA, APA, and Chicago styles.

    MLA 2009 Style (examples from The Owl at Purdue)

    Image without a title from a library database:

    Note: If an image does not have a title, create a brief title and place it in [].

  • Those are all artwork, though, right? Would the same formatting work for your images? If so, the item type is fine. We've discussed changing the label and might still do so.
  • Some are art some are just images pulled from a website. If the is a URL field available I suppose that would work.
  • yep, there is a URL field.
  • We use satellite imagery as information sources constantly. If images and artwork are formatted the same then no problemo. Thanks for the interaction.
