Adding Space Between Bibliography Entries

The Chicago and ACS styles have no space between bibliography entries. How can I use the CSL editor to add a line between bibliography entries?
  • set the entry-spacing variable to 1.
  • How do I recognize the entry spacing variable please?
  • it's at the bottom of the bottom panel when you click on "Bibliography" on the left in the CSL editor (assuming you're talking about: http://editor.citationstyles.org/visualEditor/ )
  • Worked! Thanks a bunch.
  • Hi - I'm having the same issue but I don't understand the instructions above for how to fix. I don't have this CSL editor. Is there another way?

Hi! Thanks for prompt reply - so appreciated. I've figured out your instructions above now. When I download the modified style with the entry spacing variable set to 1, it has not changed anything. Any ideas? I've got a 27-page bibliography so doing this manually sucks. Thanks so much

EDIT: I did not figure out the issue with the CSL editor but using the solution below I solved my problem. Thanks
  • Hi for anyone else having this issue, this post helped me a lot more - forget the CSL editor if it isn't working for you -

"In Word, Go to Format > Style, select "Bibliography," and click Modify. Then adjust the spacing between entries by changing the paragraph spacing."
