Search first author not available

I've tried in vain to search for "first author" (there seems to be no such field) or "author begins with" ("begins with" is not included in the advanced search options); have I overlooked the proper approach? I'd consider it very helpful to be able to find only items where a given author is listed first - rather than getting an endless list of papers whith the respective author appearing among others.

    you can sort by creator in the middle column and then just start typing and that basically serves as "creator begins with"
