An issue with SAGE Harvard(2013-04-25 00:05:05)..."anon"

I have downloaded an installed SAGE Harvard(2013-04-25 00:05:05) style and so far the only problem I have is that in text when author is not given the therm Anon displays.

For instance:

in stead of: Zotero is very useful program (Wikipedia-Zotero, 2013)

it displays:

Zotero is very useful program (Anon, 2013)

And for every such source it's the same: Anon, year if year is the same then Anon, yearb (Anon, 1999b).

How can i fix this?
  • does the style guide have anything explicitly on this? Or do you have an example from a published article about how refs without an author are handled in SAGE Harvard?

In the style guide for SAGE Harvard there is nothing written in regard if authors are not listed ( http://www.uk.sagepub.com/repository/binaries/pdf/SAGE_Harvard_reference_style.pdf ). When i looked for an example in journals where such style is used, there weren't any "anon"s. The citation was as indicated above:

Zotero is very useful program (Zotero, 2013)

    and the in the bibliography:

Wikipedija (2013). Zotero. Available at: www....
  • do you have a link to the article with that citation? (don't worry about paywall, I have access).

Well all article in this journal http://soc.sagepub.com/ should be written using SAGE Harvard style type of references.
  • After some playing around with the code I mange to change the code that now no longer is Anon displayed. It uses the "title" instead. I deleted the "anon" Macro in the macro list and changed all remaining macro field to "variable" and then chose "title" - If it has any sense :D
  • yes, that's bascially what I'll do once I get around to fixing this globally. Note that your changes may be overwritten on updates unless you also changed the <id> of the style
  • I have save it as a new style (since it take me a bunch of trial & errors to get it right :). And i renamed/save it frequently to go back if i fail :)

I have also noticed that "&" (wrong) instead of "AND" (right) is used and that et al., is different then in the guide.

I imagine that you have tons of request for styles and fixes.
  • I prioritize style fixes over requests for new styles, so appreciate you pointing those out.
  • The style is now fixed. The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by re-installing it from the repository. (See here if you need instructions for installing styles in standalone.)

Styles should also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
Any further problems please let us know.
