My libraries don't appear in tab mode

OK, my library AND the one group library that I'm a member of both appear in tab mode. But my colleague, on another computer, who is using my log-in info, does NOT show our library in tab mode. So she can't drag imported records into the library.

Is there a way to make a specific library visible in tab mode?

Thank you!
  • I don't really understand this. Is this actually specific to tab mode, or are you just saying that your colleague isn't seeing the group library on her computer? If the latter, see Changes Not Syncing.

Also, if you're sharing a library, it's generally better to use separate user accounts and just have a shared group library.
  • Thanks for your reply. Yes,it's specific to tab mode. Colleague can see our library on the main Zotero website, but cannot see it in tab mode. All she can see there is a My Library folder with a few generic items inside ('duplicate items,' 'unfiled items,' 'trash').

I just can't figure out how to open our library in her tab mode.
  • that's not tab mode, that's just the client vs. the webpage. Is she logged in with the same account? Are you using a group?
  • I think I'm starting to understand this. Maybe! She's logged in on her own account now. I set up a new group so that I could invite her to join it so that she could edit the library. But, the new group I set up doesn't contain the contents of my existing library, which is in the My Library section.

If I'm getting this, I need to somehow add my existing library to a group. Can you suggest a way?

    thanks again!
  • Once you've created the group and synced, it will appear in your client (what you called tab mode) and you can drag individual items as well as whole connections from your library to the group.
  • Yep, that worked! Thanks for your help!
